To meet the special needs of the pharmaceutical solutions market, we have designed
a unique manufacturing process dedicated solely to the production of pharmaceutical
packaging materials.
The manufacturing process is contained within a controlled cleanroom environment
and utilizes a tubular extrusion format, with the product contact surface on
the inside.
During extrusion, the tube is filled with Class 100-filtered air to ensure
that the potential for contamination of the contact surface is almost inexistent.
Still inside the cleanroom environment, the tubing is then collapsed and slit,
creating “double wound“ film with the product contact surfaces on the inside.
Double bagging and other special packaging techniques are used to preserve Nexcel®
pharmaceutical film cleanliness during transportation and introduction to clean
room environments.
